Re: [Salon] ISRAEL PUBLICLY TOOK CREDIT FOR BOMBING THE HOSPITAL. Then backed down when they saw the outrage and casualties.

I think believe Israel did it because it  has attacked hospitals and ambulences before.

Clyde is suggesting the sane thing to do. In fact this should have been Israeli policy from the beginning. It would have been a happier and more successful country. It has a militarized economy as a result of its hostility which has limited its prospects.

Chas is right. That Israel may not have fired a rocket into the hospital is almost irrelevant. The Gaza situation is largely due to long time Israeli policy aimed at creating an entirely Jewish state and effectively marginalizing the Arab population which accounts  for nearly half of the whole population of the region.

The best policy for Israel would be to forget about revenge and bury Gaza in fresh food, water, medical care, and other civilian needs. Clyde

The problem is that nobody believes anything we or the Israelis say about such incidents.  And nobody can tell what the truth is.  So we are left to judge on the basis of circumstantial evidence.  That does not favor Israeli self-exculpation.  And even if it did, the presence of so many people at the hospital was the result of an Israeli effort to drive Gaza's population south and, if possible, into exile.  Only those inclined to believe whatever Israel says will give it the benefit of the doubt under these circumstances and, in politics, perception is reality.

Did Israel do it or did the other Arab group do it?

Is there enough evidence to decide this?

Everything else is commentary (and irrelevant), I hope you agree.
